The new national basic livelihood system was applied from the 20th, but criticism is arising because there are less receivers than what was announced in the beginning. 새 기초생활보장제도, 수급자 극소수

20일부터 새로운 기초생활보장제도가 시행됐지만 애초 정부 발표보다 수급자 규모가 턱없이 부족하다는 비판이 제기됐다.

김영록 새정치민주연합 수석대변인은 이날 "애초 기초수급자 77만 명을 늘리겠다던 정부의 입장과는 달리 첫 달 신규수급자는 최대 6만여명뿐"이라고 했다. 그는 또 "그나마도 제때 혜택을 받는 수급자는 전체 신청자 42만명 중 1만1000명으로 극소수에 불과하다"고 지적했다.

그러면서 그는 "신청률이 저조하고, 신청자 중에도 추가 조사를 끝내려면 언제 혜택을 받을 수 있을지 모른다는 정부의 핑계는 무책임하기 짝이 없다"고 했다.
